Leisure Suit Larry

What better way to spend my birthday than STAMPING!! I feel like I am getting my mojo back from not feel well these days, the house is quiet and noone is home. So here I am stamping my little heart away! Te He!! How do you like Leisure Suit Larry? Remember those hideous things?
I'm sure some of your dad's wore them if they were anything like mine. I borrowed this stamp from my good friend Chele (Thoughts of a Cardmaking Scrapbooker). I get a real kick out of him.

So, who can resist flowers from a guy like this?!
On one of the cards I used the copic markers and blended in the colors. The other card I just colored him in and didn't blend it. I like how they both turned out. I have to get back to more stamping before everyone comes home and the noise begins. Check back soon I may have more of Larry to share with you. Have a great weekend and stay warm!

In A Perfect World...

teachers and moms don't get sick! Yeah, right. I am
so glad I have accumulated many sick days from
the past years because I'm sick again. HELP!
I don't like it. As soon as the pneumonia was
gone the next infection set in-double
ear and sinus infection. (Is that why the back of my head and neck hurt?). Anyway, I'm hoping the more I whine the faster it will go away. What do you think? I guess that just gives me more time to make cards and scrap. Here is one I made over Christmas break and forgot to post. The argyle pattern reminds me of my college days when we all wore it with our penny loafers. C'mon, You know what I'm talking about. The paper came from DCWV and the rest is SU. The ribbon is from Michaels.
Have a great rest of the week and stay healthy!!

MAN IS IT COLD OUTSIDE!!

Here is my first card I made using the copic markers. I think it turned out pretty good if I say so myself. This is also a new stamp set I just got from MFT. All the paper except the polkadot paper is from SU. The ribbon is Target special. Well, it's too cold to stamp. What do you mean you ask? My stamping room is in my basement and it is Zero degrees out now with a windchill of minus 18. So my basement is pretty chilly down there. No matter how much heat we get down there when it is that cold outside it's chilly inside. So I'm hoping to get some stamping done this weekend since we are off school Monday for MLK day. Anyway, take care, stay warm and thanks for looking.

YOU STOLE MY HEART!

I just think this little guy is soooo adorable! My friends and I got together last weekend and stamped and scrapped so I borrowed this stamp from Michele at Thoughts of a Cardmaking Scrapbooker and stamped away. She was even nice enough to let me try out her Copics. OMG! I'm hooked and guess what I want for my birthday?! Can you imagine, a forty something year old wanting markers for her birthday, go figure!! I highly doubt I'll get them. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this card and have a great rest of the week!

HOW SWEET IT IS!

How sweet it is! Doesn't this chair and a few chocolates look very tempting? I could handle that about now. The brown paper is from DCWV and the green is certainly celery. The ribbon is from SU and I used a pop up for the sentiment which is from MFT.
Well, I'm back to school this week after a three week break and having pneumonia. It's good to get back into a routine and everything but I sure did get used to staying home with an empty,
QUIET house. Oh well, I guess I have to suck it up and get back to work. (I think this frigid cold is getting to my head)! Anyway, thanks for stopping by.

DOGGONE CUTE!!

I saw this dog image on someone's blog while I was surfing. (I can't remember who's and I also can't find it again). Anyway, I ordered it and as soon as it came I had to get busy. He is just so
cute! I figured he can be used for any occasion or even for Valentine's day. What do you think? Oh! I forgot to mention the dog and the sentiment came from Rubbernecker stamps.
Yesterday I was so excited when I checked the mail. All the Bellas and MFT stamp set that I ordered came. I have been working with them already and will gradually post them. Gosh, there is just not enough hours in the day for stampin!! Well, take care and thanks for stopping in!

Martini Anyone?!

I couldn't resist this stamp and especially the sentiment stamp. I just laughed when I saw it and just had to have it. They both came from Rubbernecker stamps. There are a few people I know specifically who would get a kick out of it. I'm not sure I colored it in correctly but, oh well!
The green paper is Wild Wasabi and the polka dot paper came from DCWV. The ribbon I just bought at Archivers. The sentiment is popped up with popups. So, Martini anyone?!! Have a great day!!

ENJOY YOUR DAY!!

Well, here is another birthday card. I cased this one from Simply Pink who cased it from Stamp a Little Love, Baby. It's just a great simple card that I can make a bunch of. I used pixie pink and the stamp is from the Riveting set. I added some bling to the stamp and a little ribbon from Michaels. This card was already used so I better get busy making some more. I've been seeing quite a few Valentine cards out there already and they are awesome. Those are fun cards to make.
I can't believe it! It is January 7th and we are in the middle of a pretty bad thunder storm. We even have tornado warnings. Now this is extremely unusual for Chicago weather. It's 63degrees when it should be 33degrees. Now wonder everyone is sick. It sounds like everyone
all over the U.S. are having wild weather. Anyway, take care and thanks for stopping by!

Snowmen melt your heart!

These are thank you cards I made for the kids in my class, for all the Christmas gifts I received. I cased the card from My Stampin Habit. I heat embossed the snowflakes and added the ribbon. I think they turned out pretty cute if I say so myself! They are all written in, addressed, stamped and mailed, now on to other things.

Now that I am feel a little better I have been able to stamp. I am still coughing quite a bit and I get tired real easy but overall I do feel better than the last few weeks in December. I can't believe how sick I was and was still going to school. Go Figure!

Tonight my scrappin buddies and I are having our annual Christmas party. We don't scrap or stamp but we just have a lot of fun. We do bring a scrappin grabbag and have a blast stealing eachothers. It really is a great time.

I had better get moving for the day. The frigid cold has broke (single digits) and today it is in the 30's , 40's tomorrow and 50's Sunday. Woo Hoo, warm enough to take all the Christmas lights down!! Have a great day!!
