Happy Graduation (again)!

Well, this is my last graduation card. I made this one for my neice who graduated from 8th grade. I just love the Bella stamps. They are just perfect. Anyway, this Friday I am going to CHA to check things out. It's not very far from me (about 50 minutes) it's just the traffic getting there can be a little crazy. So, thanks for stopping by.

Happy Day!!

Isn't this little girl cute?! She is from MFT. I couldn't pass her up at the scrapbook store. This is the kind of day we are having around here. It stormed something fierce last night and this morning and now the sun (and humidity) is out. Woo hoo!! Anyway, I'm trying really hard to get my mojo back. I haven't had much desire to stamp or scrap lately. Last night our scrapping group got together and that gave me a little push. So I'm going to give it another try and get busy crafting again (at least get something done before school starts up again). Now I'm off to get my mission done. Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!!

Bird of a different feather!

I just love this little bird. I have no idea where it came from, it was in my scrap drawer with all my stamped images from a stamping night out with friends. The card is blank inside because I haven't decided what to us it for yet. Anyway, has the heat gotten to you yet? We haven't been able to turn the a.c. off in several weeks. It's been in the 90's and I hate it!! Sorry, warm weather friends, but I'm just not a heat person. Anyway, take it easy and thanks for stopping by.

Another cute little guy. He is from CTMH. I know it's a simple card but the boys who end up receiving this card really doesn't care what it looks like as long as there is money in it. Well, all the graduation parties are finally over (I think). Now back to baseball. Yep, we are still in the baseball mode and still have 3 more weeks of it (enough already). So, off to get something done around here and then to a game. Have a great week!

Sweet, Little Angel

This is a card I made for a friend of mine who retired from teaching with us. I made a bunch of cards for her as a gift. This was one of them. I knew she had several granddaughters this would be perfect for. So, I went downtown Chicago today to have lunch with some friends. I always seem to forget how awesome it is down there since I don't go very often. We had a great lunch and walked around somewhat. It's a whole different world downtown Chicago than it is in our small suburban town. If you are ever thinking of a vacation spot to go this is a good choice. There is so much to do along the lake front. Anyway, have a great rest of the week and thanks for stopping by.

Polly want a cracker!!

Here's a quick post today. I'm off to work (yuck)! I stamped this bird a long time ago from one of my friends stamps and I even had it colored when I came across it in my "to do" bin. So here it is. Pretty colorful, huh? Hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend. We already had our neighborhood parade and fireworks yesterday. It was a perfect day for it. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

Martini, Anyone?!

Doesn't this look refreshing? It's only 9 a.m. and the humidity and heat is already on. What a way to spend the day at the old ballpark. We have 2 games scheduled for the day. I may have to pack some of these in the cooler. Can you believe it's already the end of the month? I feel like we just got out of school. I'm sure next week we will begin to see school supply adds in the papers. Uhggg!! So, I'm off to try to get some cards in before we head out for the day. Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Flower Help Needed!!

Does anyone know what kind of hanging plant this is? I purchased it at the local grocery store not realizing how beautiful it was going to be. It's so cool. It has these pink pods that look like onions and when they open up they are beautiful purple flowers. I've never even seen this kind of plant before. If anyone knows what it's called please let me know. We are all stumped around here. Well, we are off to the big university to register for classes. But first, the important stuff. There is an outlet mall on the way there that we are going to stop by. Woo hoo!! Have a great day!

Smile!

I always liked this little guy and his friend. I made this card for my 6year old nephew's birthday. I'm sure he'll like it (especially if there is money in it). The image is a MFT image. We are in full summer mode now and we really haven't had a day without rain. One minute we are wearing shorts and the next minute we have sweatshirts on. The sun is out one minutte and then the clouds move in and it rains and the temps go down. I'm sure it's a matter of time before someone gets sick around here. Tomorrow we are heading to Eastern Illinois University to register for fall classes for the first time. Casey is soooo excited to be going away. However we'll see how excited she will be on move in day in August. (or maybe it will be mom not so excited). Anyway, thanks for stopping by.

Woo Hoo! Summer is Here!!

So, today was the last day of school. Woo Hoo! No more lesson plans (at least for a while), no more papers to grade, no more bulletin boards to change, no more getting up at the crack of dawn AND it's cold and rainy!! What a way to start the summer. Hopefully the rain won't last long and they are calling for high 80's by Thursday. Finally!! Here are two graduation cards I made for some of the many graduates. I try to use their school colors. The paper is all from SU and so is the stamp set. I'm really hoping to get quite a bit of stamping done and tons of scrapping. Since I have a graduate myself we have a ton of pictures to scrap. Anyway, thanks for stopping by and enjoy the beginning of summer!

More Graduation and Prom Pics!!

Casey had a great time at prom. She went with the same boy she took to homecoming her freshman year. What a difference from freshman year. The dresses were unbelievable. The color this year was blue. After checking out all the prom pictures blue was the most popular. So, this is what has been keeping me so busy lately along with high school baseball for Danny. Now its time to relax ( and get ready for college).

Graduation Day

This is one of the activities we've been busy with these days. My daughter, Casey, just graduated from High School on Saturday. It couldn't have been a better day. The weather was in the low 80's and sunny. She is on to college and she can't wait to go!!

Happy Birthday!

Yes, I am still alive. I have been just so busy and haven't had much time to do any cards or scrappin'. After a busy weekend of graduation and parties I don't want to go anywhere but to my scrap room. So this is what I came up with. I still have 8 more days of school left , Woo hoo! It's been mighty hot around here and that makes for a very long day with the kids. I hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend, it hasn't stopped raining here since about 1a.m. Oh, well! Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday

Now,who wouldn't want a pile of gifts like this on her birthday?! I made this card for my niece who turned 15. The image is a Bella (one of my favorites), the paper is SU and the ribbon is from Target. I colored her in with my prismas. This is one of my favorite stamps, Iuse it so often for cards, so sorry if you see her quite often on here. Anyway, off to get some shuteye and back to school tomorrow. Have a great week.

Happy Engagement

A good friend of mine is getting married and the shower is today. So here is the card I made to go with the gift we got her. The image is a Bella and the inside says "Welcome to the wedded bliss club!" That is an SU stamp. The heart paper is from DCWV and the rest is SU. She works with us and I think we are enjoying her engagement as much as she is. Anyway, I know this is a short post but at least I posted. I'm sure you have noticed that they are far and few between with my posts. Lately it's hard to find time to make cards, I'm already looking forward to spring break. Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.

Miss You

Sorry if this isn't the best picture. However, this really is a cute card. I made it for a friend of mine to send to her son in the army. The image is from MFT. On another subject, has anyone else out there been getting strange comments left on the posts? I have. I don't know where they are coming from but they creep me out so I delete them right away. On another note, we've had a ton of snow the last few days but not as much as out east. So noone around here is complaining too much. Anyway, enjoy the rest of the week and thanks for stopping by.

Batter's Up!

Isn't this guy cute?! He is from Rubbernecker Stamps. This card was made for my nephew who turned 6. He loves to play ball. The pictures lately haven't turned out that great. Sometimes if I zoom in too close they are all blurry and I don't notice it until I print the picutes. Maybe it's time for a new camera (or photographer). Anyway, enjoy the card and thanks so much for stopping by.

Warm Winter Hello

Just when I thought the snow was gone (everything melted) it snowed again today. I know, it's January in Chicago but a girl can hope!! I thought this would be a good card for a day like today. The snowman image is from Rubbernecker. It's a good one. I haven't done much stampin' lately, I've been getting headaches like crazy lately. Once the headache hits there's no doing anything. As soon as the headaches are under controll I'll get back to the stamps. Pray that it very soon.
So, have a great week and thanks for stopping by.

Think Pink

Here is a card I made for my neighbor who was just diagnosed with breast cancer. The stamp set is from MFT. The pink paper is from SU and the rest is left over paper I had. I just wanted to let her know we are praying for her. Well, we're back in the swing of school again after the holidays and it feels like I never even had a break. However, we are off this coming Monday for MLK day. Yippee!! It sure sounds like I don't like going to school. That's not true. It's just nice to have a Monday off now and then. I'm hoping to get some stampin' done this weekend. So, have a great weekend and day off on Monday (if you are one of the lucky ones)!

Patriotic Cards, Why Now?!

I'm sure you're wondering why these cards this time of year. Well, our kindergarten teacher's son joined the army and my class adopted him and will be sending him cards and pictures over the next many months. He came in to visit our class before Christmas and the kids were excited to meet him and put a face to the soldier we'll be sending things to. So here are some cards I made for his mom to send to him. I made several more cards and will post them as time goes on. They are not all patriotic. I'm sure he will appreciate any mail he receives. The kids are all excited to be sending letters to him.
Well, we here in Chicago are in for another major snowstorm tomorrow and the rest of the week. Of course, right when we all go back to school after the holidays. I wasn't feeling well the whole time off (severe migraines) and today is the first day I feel better and now I have to do school work, go figure! So I'm off to get something done. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday, Mike!

This is a birthday card I made for my brother Michael. He turned 60, yikes!! All the paper is from SU, the stamp is from Great Impressions and the ribbon is from Target's dollar bin (it's self stick). So, how was everyone's New Years Eve? Mine was very uneventful. I have a major sinus infection and have had a headache since Monday. So I've been sleeping alot and 2010 came and went and I didn't even know it. I'm trying to get some stamping in here and there. Anyway, have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.
