Relax

I started making this card with the intention of using my new MFT stamp- the lady in the bathtub. By the time I stamped her and mounted her and put it on the bubble paper it was way too big. So I quick changed the image to another one of my favorites - A Bella of course!
The white paper is SU and the rest of it is from
Basic Grey. I still have a hard time coloring in, one of these days I will master it.
I feel like I have been slowing down on my cards.
Maybe because baseball has taken over our lives these days. We have another game tonight and possibly one tomorrrow and then it is all over.
Just in time for football. (yuck)!

Whale of a Tail!

This is a card we made yesterday at an SU class. The paper is brocade blue and night of navy. Isn't the whale just so cute!

It's a Bugs Life

This is the card I made for the swap over at
I used the bug set from SU. The paper is also SU, real red and tempting turquois.
The ribbon came from Michaels. I just love this bug set for childrens cards. There is so much you can do with it. And what kid doesn't like bugs!
TAGGED~ I've been tagged again from Stampingranny This time I will tag 7 more people I hope who haven't been tagged lately.
Here are 7 things about myself .
1. I love strawberry daiquiries ( who doesn't).
2. I played the clarinet in 5th and 6th grade and quit after that because I would have had to do
band in the summer and I wasn't about to do that. Now I make my daughter do it! (TE HE)
3. I HATE football but my son plays so I have to go to the games. To me it is like watching a
foreign film, I have no idea what is going on.
4. I have an awesome group of scrapping and stamping friends who are a blast to be with.
5. I hated high school but LOVED college.
6. I have never broken any bones or had stitches (knock on wood).
7. However, I did get really sick in college and had mono (isn't that called the kissing disease?)!
Now here are the seven bloggers I am tagging.
1. Laura @ stampin soldier
2. Jennifer @ peasncarrots
4. Karrie @ stampgirl
7. Julie @ stampin with julie
I hope I did this right. I am still new to all the ways to get around on the computer.

Happily Married

I have to make a few wedding cards so this is one I came up with. I don't usually make wedding cards but I think it turned out pretty cute. I used SU paper, certainly celery and apricot appeal. The stamp set is from Close to My Heart and the flower is a Prima. The ribbon is from M and once again I used my cuttlebug folder. Now, on to making more!

Back Home

Well, we are back from the big weekend of baseball in Kentucky. The boys played some great ball however, they did lose. Both games they lost 4-3. They were pretty disappointed but as soon as they got back to the hotel and into the pool they all seemed to be having a great time. It was a wonderful weekend. The weather was in the 70's. Our hotel was on the grounds of the Universitiy of Kentucky so we drove all over and checked out the school. It was beautiful. The boys were able to get on the university's baseball field and football field. That was cool.
On the way home we stopped at Indiana University and that campus is Beautiful! The buildings were built with the old cobblestone. We were able to get on their football field and that seemed unbelievable. We were the only ones there on this HUGE stadium. It was awesome! Then were managed to get on their basketball court ,also. The assistant coach let us in and once again we were the only ones there. That was pretty cool, too! But the best part of seeing the university was that as we were standing around in the student union, Marcia Brady was right there next to us. I'm sure many of you remember her from the Brady Bunch. Her real name is Maureen McCormick. Anyway, she must have been visiting the university, too. We really had a great time despite the losing games. But I'm glad to be back home and near my computer and all my stamping and scrapping goodies ,
TEE HEE!!

Rockin' Girl Blogger

Thanks, Michele, for nominating me as Rockin' Girl! I feel so loved!!! I would nominate more people but it seems that just about everyone has already been nominated. Have a great time at CHA and thank God you can't spend money there!!! (It took me a while to figure out how to get this on my blog).

Cheers

More Birthday Bellas

We will be gone for the weekend and then some due to baseball (again). We are headed to the regional tournament in Kentucky, which is about a 6 hour drive from here. Last night when I was surfing blogs I ran into many ladies who will be driving 5,6 or more hours just to get to CHA, which is very close to my house. I was just thinking I will be driving that distance away from CHA. Boy, do I wish I was coming this direction instead of away from Chicago. Anyway, for thoses who are attending it , Have a Great Time!
I have gotten alot of use out of this Birthday Bella. I actually made several of these cards in different colors. These are the kinds of cards that the teachers at my school look for . The love it when I bring in a new batch of cards. By the end of the day most of the cards are gone. Yipee! They are always asking me when I find time to make cards along with my own 2 kids schedule and school work. I guess teaching first grade has its advantage. I usually don't have a ton of work to do at home, especially since I have the most awesome aide in the world.
So, I won't post anything new for a few days. We could be gone as late as next Wednesday if the boys make the championship game. Wish them luck! Hopefully Iwill have a championship picture to post next time. Have a great weekend!!

My Favorite Things

Yesterday when I got the mail my first sets of My Favorite Things arrived. I was pretty excited. I had to get busy right away. All the paper is from Su. I used apricot appeal and used the Cuttlebug embossing folder on it. The patterned paper is from the sampler pad from SU.
The card is lovely lilac and the flowers are from Prima Flowers. I pierced around the edge of the scalloped square and the ribbon came from M.

State Champs!

We are home from a long weekend of baseball in St. Louis with some great news . Our 12 year old team won the state championship and now they move on to the next level. Next weekend we will be traveling to Kentucky for an awesome regional tournament. It's so exciting(I think)!
They played some pretty intense ball and were awesome. What more can a kid ask for- a weekend away at a hotel with all their friends, playing ball and swimming all weekend!

I did manage to find an incredible scrapbook store in town. It was called The Scrapbook Factory. I thought I died and went to heaven. I think it was even better than Archivers. I managed to spend quite a bit in there and I am sure I spent more than I would have because I was in such a good mood after they won the games. (That's a good excuse , isn't it)! Anyway on to Kentucky next weekend and maybe I can find another great store there too! Now I feel like I am on a scapbook store mission (LOL)!

This Bella stamp was a hard one to pass up. I bought it especially because my daughter is so into her music (she plays in several school bands) and she can make cards for her girlfriends.

This was my first Bella stamp I ordered and I have already made a bunch of cards with it. The paper is all from SU and it's hard to see but I pierced the edge of the patterned paper. The flowers were made from my Cricut machine.

Weekend Cards

Several of the teacher I work with asked me to make a few cards for guys. This is what I came up with since I don't have too many masculine stamps. The entire card is made from SU products.

We will be going away for the weekend to another baseball tournament and I think I will be missing blogging. Maybe the hotel will have a computer (I'm sure my family will shoot me if I spend any time on the computer). Since school has ended in June I have been on the computer quite a bit. What better to do than blogging and meeting all these wonderful people?! Anyway, this card is made from SU paper and the sparkle stamp is also SU. The sparkley paper once again I found in my scrap drawer.

Baby Card

The fish set from SU was one of my first sets I bought and I still love using it. !
A friend of mine had her first baby on Monday so I got busy right away making this card for her. I have some baby stamps but I used them on a shower card for her. So I found this House Mouse stamp at Hobby Lobby and couldn't pass it up. The paper is gable green and pixie pink from SU . This was a fun one to do.

Baseball is still in full swing. We are off until Friday when another tournament starts . So today we are off to the batting cages! (Yipee)!

Just a Note

I did manage to get some stamping done inbetween baseball games. Dany's team won four games and lost one yesterday. Today he plays for third or fourth place. The weather was unbearably hot! Today is no better.
I made this card for my girlfriend who, after checking out my blog , just had to have some
note cards. I never mind making them for friends or family because I really do enjoy doing it.
I used all SU products for this card.

Beachabella

Well here she is ! I have been using my Bellas so much since they came last week. I used only orange paper and tempting turquoise paper from SU. The strips are from Starfish and Dreams. The flowers I stamped came from the All Wrapped Up set and also used the oval cutter from CM as well as the tab punch.

Chefabella

Here is one of my favorite Bella stamps. Even though I just got my Bella order yesterday this is one from Kimberly at Craftyme. I haven't had time to do my own because of baseball. The month of July is devoted to all-star baseball around here. Anyway this card is made from my scrap drawer. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to sit down and CREATE (inbetween 2 games)!!

Bugs and Kisses

Here are two real simple cards. Kimberly over at Craftyme gave me the ewe stamp and I thought it was so cute. I guess I have to have that SU set also. The bubbles from the cuddlebug folder goes perfect with it. Yesterday the rest of my Bellas came. So I guess I'll be real busy this weekend.

I wanted to get one in before the 4th festivities begin. We had a houseful last night for E.P.'s parade and fireworks. It was a blast! On to the next party.

This card is one of my favorites because I love the color combinations. The stamp is SU and so is the yellow and pink paper. The plaid paper I found in my scrap drawer along with the ribbon.I sell my cards at school to the other teachers and I know that they will be gobbling this one up.

Birthday Bella

Here's my Bella for the day. I used my cuddlebug folder (again). I colored it in with my SU markers and added the ribbon from my box of scraps.
I will ask a favor of everyone, I just came from a prayer service at church for a former student of ours. She is 18 years old and just diagnosed is Nonhodgekins lymphoma. Please say a prayer for her and her family. We would appreciate it. Have a great holiday!

Cosmo

I'm having a blast with these Bellas and can't wait for the new ones to arrive. Some of my friends are into martininis so they may end up receiving a cosmobellla card.

Hearts Galore

My son, Danny, has been keeping me company lately while I stamp. Therefore, he decided
to create some cards of his own. He has been asking me when he can post a card , so here it is!

When he is not tied to the house he is very busy with baseball and his all star team.

Best Friend

I've been using all my new stamp sets lately so I thought I would go back to some of my oldies
but goodies. The dog is a SU stamp and the best friends is a sticker I just happened to have. It's hard to see but I pierced the circles around the dog.

Bubble Bath

This card turned out so cute in person. The cuddlebug folders are great. I guess I need to stock up on them. Once again the stamped image came from Chelemom. Today is such a beautiful day but I'm still heading out to do some Prisma shopping. Those 40% off coupons come
in handy.
This is going to be a fun week. 4th of July is always an exciting time around here. Our town has a great parade down the block from us and then the fireworks afterwards are directly
across the street from our house. We have a house full and there isn't one inch of land left on our front lawn. It's a blast! All are welcome.
Happy 4th!!
