Spring Flowers

I bought this set from SU because I thought the wheelbarrow full of flowers was so cute. This is the first card I made with it and plan on making more for mother's day. The stamp set is Blooming with Love and the flower paper is also from SU, Flowers for You packet. The blue is tempting turquoise and the green is wild wasabi, and the ribbon cam from Michaels. I'm not thrilled with how the coloring turned out, I used my Prisma watercolors and just can't seem to get the blending down pat. I guess I need more practice. Oh well, the card turned out pretty cute, it looks much better in person.
Well, back to school today. After an hour or two it felt like we never even had a break. Now we have no days off until Memorial weekend (that's if you don't count the Friday I took off to go to Florida for the weekend to visit a friend.) So, have a great rest of the week and thanks for checking in!

Back from SinCity and into the Cold Snow!!

Well, I haven't had much of a chance to scrap or stamp so I thought I would post a different project I made quite a while ago. I store all my Cuttlebug folders in here. Nothing fancy!!
Anyway, we came home late last night to some more snow. UGG!!! It was 80 degrees during the day and 60 at night. I could live like that all the time. But not in Vegas. We did have a great time and even won some money (300 dollars) but the crowds and noise I could do without. We saw two great shows-- Penn and Teller and Cirque Du Soleil. Even though it was a great time we were ready to come home (I had to get back to stamping and scrapping). Oh, I forgot, we did find a really awesome scrapbook store right in Las Vegas. It was called Scrapping Time and was one of the best ones I've seen. Of course Ihad to buy some things. Now back to reality and laundry, lots of it. Thanks for stopping by and check back soon and I'll have something more interesting to post.

Spring Has Sprung!

This is the new stamp set from the Celebration catalog. Isn't it cute?! I wasn't sure what to do with it at first but this one didn't turn out so bad.
The paper is chocolate chip, wild wasabi, pixie pink and I colored it in with my new copics. The ribbon came from Michaels. I think this might be a good one for note cards.
So, what is everyone doing for Easter? Praying for warm weather, I hope. It's been in the 40's here but I just heard they are calling for some snow Friday. I'll be heading out to Vegas until Wednesday, so wish me luck!! We really are not gamblers at all but just to get away will be a blast.
Anyone have any tips for a great trip to Vegas? Any good shows, concerts or restaurants we should be sure to go to? The last time we were there was in 1988. So I know we are in for a huge surprise. We hear it has changed drastically. It should be a good time. Anyway, thanks for checking in!!

You Crack Me Up!

HAPPY EASTER WEEK, EVERYONE! I was able to get a card or two made last night. I just love this little chick. He's so cute. The polka dot and strip paper came from the Flowers for You SU package. The blue is tempting turquoise, the yellow is apricot appeal and the pink is pixie pink, which I used my good friend Lynda's cuttlebug folder for the dots. The ribbon is from Target. I have a great friend who works with me and makes me laugh all day long. So I think she will be getting this card in the mail. Some days I wonder if we ever get any teaching done because we are cracking up all the time. Now that spring break is coming up this week I am going to try to get more stamping and scrapping done and I'll have more posts . So take care and thanks for checking in!!

HOPPY EASTER

Last weekend a group of us got together just to stamp each others images. This cute bunny stamp came from Kim at Craftyme. It is a TAC stamp and is real cute. We got a ton of stamps stamped. It was a lot of fun and I plan on getting busy this weekend using them. Here is just one card I made so far. The polkadot paper is from an old SU packet but has some great paper in it.
I used Lynda's new cuttlebug folder (I think I have to get this one too). This was an easy and fast card to make.
Well this is a BIG weekend here on the southside of Chicago for all those WEE folks. There is a huge ST. Pat's Day parade. Everyone is Irish for the day whether you are Irish or not. It's always been a blast, as long as the weather holds out. It's so popular and an Irish tradition here that many schools (including mine) are off the day after the parade (you figure that one out). Now this year because it is so close to Easter break my school does not have off but I'm sure I will have a ton of kids absent and probably a teacher or two. Not me, I'll be there bright and early Monday morning. So, to all my blogging friends who are Irish and who aren't, TOP OF THE MORNIN' TO YOU!! Have a great weekend!!

Circle Time

I cased this card from a card that I received from a friend. I needed several thank yous so I thought this was quick and simple. I made several
of them. The circles came from Hero Arts. The blue paper is from an old pack of Michaels paper. The image in the middle is a SU stamp. As soon as the sun comes out again from hiding around here I have some more cards to take pictures of. It's been so gloomy lately that I don't seem to get good shots of my cards. So pray for sun!
Thanks for stopping by.

Birthday Wishes

I just got my scallop punch and matching stamps from SU and here is what I came up with. Nothing fancy. I really like this ribbon, it came from JoAnn fabrics. Hope everyone is having a great weekend, I'm off to Bingo!
