Happy Weekend! Heading to sunny Florida for the weekend. Hope I will happen upon a stamp or scrapping store somewhere. Take care for now!!

What a Day!!
Look at it! It's sunny and warm. WooHoo! I just had to take the picture of the card outside. It's a great day for a ballgame. Danny has a practice game this afternoon and then on to the real games this week. Wish us luck this season.
I just love this stamp set. It's an old one from SU called When I Grow Up.
I've used it with Mother's Day projects at school, it's perfect for Mother's and Father's day. The paper is pumpkin pie, apricot appeal and the blue is from an old SU designer package. The ribbon came from Target and I colored it in with my Copics. The little beads are Dew Drops (I think). My good friend Michele over at Thoughts of a Cardmaking Scrapbooker, gave me some of these one night when our gang was scrapping. They're so cute, I'll have to buy some myself.
Anyway, I have mentioned that I really am a big scrapbooker. That is where all this began. Well, all I have been doing are card for the last several months and lately I've had the urge to scrap . So yesterday that's what I did. My daughter has a ton of great High School pictures so I'm back to the books. As soon as I get the finishing touches on her page I will post it. I know it sounds funny that I had the urge to scrap but I know you guys out there in blog world know what I mean. So on to more pages!!
Have a sunny, warm and awesome week!!

Mother's Day is Coming Up
Mother's Day will be here before you know it. That's okay because that means
summer is just around the corner. Here is my first Mother's Day card of the year. I'm hoping to get alot done this weekend because the girls at school are always asking for these cards. So what do you think of this one?! I used one of the Sale A Bration stamp sets. A friend gave it to me and I thought, what am I ever going to do with this set. But, WhooHoo, after a little brainstorming I came up with this one. Not bad, Huh? These are also some of my favorite colors together.
The weekend is finally here and it is still sunny around here. Hopefully it will stay that way several more days. Nothing big is planned since next weekend I will be heading to Florida. We're just going for a long weekend to visit a great friend. You know what that means? Margaritas, Margaritas, and more Margaritas. I can't wait. So have a great weekend and get some stamping done!!

BEE HAPPY!!
Well, I decided to go back to using all my old stamps I have before I keep ordering more. How many of you purchase a new stamp set, use it for only a few cards and then want to buy more stamps and forget about the previous sets you have? I always do that and I have to break that habit. So, right now I am going to try to use more of the stamp sets sitting on my shelves that I forgot I have. This card, for example, is one of those sets. I just loved these bees when I saw it that I just had to have it. Anyway, I think spring has finally sprung here in Chicago. We are supposed to have weather in the 60's this week and plenty of sunshine. Yipee!! When spring arrives so does baseball season. We are in full force with Danny's team. I just take a deep breath when I see his busy schedule. It's much more enjoyable when school is out than fighting with him about homework and practices. (Of course in his eyes and all kids eyes baseball is more important than school). WRONG! Anyway, have a great week and I'm off to do some surfing!!

Happy Hellos
Just a quick post today. I made this card using the stamp sets from the Sale a bration catalog. The pink is regal rose and yellow is apricot appeal and the green is gable green. It's hard to tell but the flower is standing up a little to give it a 3d effect. I know, it's a very simple card but it did turn out cute if you ask me.
Well this has been a great SUNNY and WARM weekend here in Chicago. I just hope it lasts for a while but if you know anything about The Windy City the weather can change in an instant. So for now we are just soaking up the rays. Also, has everyone else who has sons or daughters who play baseball, start baseball season yet? We have and this summer baseball is taking us to Omaha, Ne. Maybe I will find a scrapbook store there. I'm sure they scrap and stamp out there. Anyway, I'm just rambling on. Have a great week!!

Celebrate and A New Blogger in Town
Yep! There is a new blogger in town. A fellow
stamper has finally joined the blogging world. Be sure to visit her blog at http://stamps4sanity.blogspot.com/ She does some beautiful work and I'm sure you'll enjoy her cards. On another note, I cased this card from the SU catalog on page 145. The colors don't really thrill me but I do like the layout. I used groovy guava, the green stripes is from an old SU packet called petals and paisleys. The flower paper is from DCWV. The birthday sentiment is from Hero Arts and the celebrate is a SU stamp.
The ribbon is from Michaels and I used pop dots for the little flower and the sentiment. So, I'm off to do more cards and believe it or not we finally have SUN around here. I was beginning to think the sun forgot us here in Chicago. Thanks for checking in!
