Relax

I started making this card with the intention of using my new MFT stamp- the lady in the bathtub. By the time I stamped her and mounted her and put it on the bubble paper it was way too big. So I quick changed the image to another one of my favorites - A Bella of course!
The white paper is SU and the rest of it is from
Basic Grey. I still have a hard time coloring in, one of these days I will master it.
I feel like I have been slowing down on my cards.
Maybe because baseball has taken over our lives these days. We have another game tonight and possibly one tomorrrow and then it is all over.
Just in time for football. (yuck)!

Whale of a Tail!

This is a card we made yesterday at an SU class. The paper is brocade blue and night of navy. Isn't the whale just so cute!

It's a Bugs Life

This is the card I made for the swap over at
I used the bug set from SU. The paper is also SU, real red and tempting turquois.
The ribbon came from Michaels. I just love this bug set for childrens cards. There is so much you can do with it. And what kid doesn't like bugs!
TAGGED~ I've been tagged again from Stampingranny This time I will tag 7 more people I hope who haven't been tagged lately.
Here are 7 things about myself .
1. I love strawberry daiquiries ( who doesn't).
2. I played the clarinet in 5th and 6th grade and quit after that because I would have had to do
band in the summer and I wasn't about to do that. Now I make my daughter do it! (TE HE)
3. I HATE football but my son plays so I have to go to the games. To me it is like watching a
foreign film, I have no idea what is going on.
4. I have an awesome group of scrapping and stamping friends who are a blast to be with.
5. I hated high school but LOVED college.
6. I have never broken any bones or had stitches (knock on wood).
7. However, I did get really sick in college and had mono (isn't that called the kissing disease?)!
Now here are the seven bloggers I am tagging.
1. Laura @ stampin soldier
2. Jennifer @ peasncarrots
4. Karrie @ stampgirl
7. Julie @ stampin with julie
I hope I did this right. I am still new to all the ways to get around on the computer.

Happily Married

I have to make a few wedding cards so this is one I came up with. I don't usually make wedding cards but I think it turned out pretty cute. I used SU paper, certainly celery and apricot appeal. The stamp set is from Close to My Heart and the flower is a Prima. The ribbon is from M and once again I used my cuttlebug folder. Now, on to making more!

Back Home

Well, we are back from the big weekend of baseball in Kentucky. The boys played some great ball however, they did lose. Both games they lost 4-3. They were pretty disappointed but as soon as they got back to the hotel and into the pool they all seemed to be having a great time. It was a wonderful weekend. The weather was in the 70's. Our hotel was on the grounds of the Universitiy of Kentucky so we drove all over and checked out the school. It was beautiful. The boys were able to get on the university's baseball field and football field. That was cool.
On the way home we stopped at Indiana University and that campus is Beautiful! The buildings were built with the old cobblestone. We were able to get on their football field and that seemed unbelievable. We were the only ones there on this HUGE stadium. It was awesome! Then were managed to get on their basketball court ,also. The assistant coach let us in and once again we were the only ones there. That was pretty cool, too! But the best part of seeing the university was that as we were standing around in the student union, Marcia Brady was right there next to us. I'm sure many of you remember her from the Brady Bunch. Her real name is Maureen McCormick. Anyway, she must have been visiting the university, too. We really had a great time despite the losing games. But I'm glad to be back home and near my computer and all my stamping and scrapping goodies ,
TEE HEE!!

Rockin' Girl Blogger

Thanks, Michele, for nominating me as Rockin' Girl! I feel so loved!!! I would nominate more people but it seems that just about everyone has already been nominated. Have a great time at CHA and thank God you can't spend money there!!! (It took me a while to figure out how to get this on my blog).

Cheers

More Birthday Bellas

We will be gone for the weekend and then some due to baseball (again). We are headed to the regional tournament in Kentucky, which is about a 6 hour drive from here. Last night when I was surfing blogs I ran into many ladies who will be driving 5,6 or more hours just to get to CHA, which is very close to my house. I was just thinking I will be driving that distance away from CHA. Boy, do I wish I was coming this direction instead of away from Chicago. Anyway, for thoses who are attending it , Have a Great Time!
I have gotten alot of use out of this Birthday Bella. I actually made several of these cards in different colors. These are the kinds of cards that the teachers at my school look for . The love it when I bring in a new batch of cards. By the end of the day most of the cards are gone. Yipee! They are always asking me when I find time to make cards along with my own 2 kids schedule and school work. I guess teaching first grade has its advantage. I usually don't have a ton of work to do at home, especially since I have the most awesome aide in the world.
So, I won't post anything new for a few days. We could be gone as late as next Wednesday if the boys make the championship game. Wish them luck! Hopefully Iwill have a championship picture to post next time. Have a great weekend!!

My Favorite Things

Yesterday when I got the mail my first sets of My Favorite Things arrived. I was pretty excited. I had to get busy right away. All the paper is from Su. I used apricot appeal and used the Cuttlebug embossing folder on it. The patterned paper is from the sampler pad from SU.
The card is lovely lilac and the flowers are from Prima Flowers. I pierced around the edge of the scalloped square and the ribbon came from M.

State Champs!

We are home from a long weekend of baseball in St. Louis with some great news . Our 12 year old team won the state championship and now they move on to the next level. Next weekend we will be traveling to Kentucky for an awesome regional tournament. It's so exciting(I think)!
They played some pretty intense ball and were awesome. What more can a kid ask for- a weekend away at a hotel with all their friends, playing ball and swimming all weekend!

I did manage to find an incredible scrapbook store in town. It was called The Scrapbook Factory. I thought I died and went to heaven. I think it was even better than Archivers. I managed to spend quite a bit in there and I am sure I spent more than I would have because I was in such a good mood after they won the games. (That's a good excuse , isn't it)! Anyway on to Kentucky next weekend and maybe I can find another great store there too! Now I feel like I am on a scapbook store mission (LOL)!

This Bella stamp was a hard one to pass up. I bought it especially because my daughter is so into her music (she plays in several school bands) and she can make cards for her girlfriends.

This was my first Bella stamp I ordered and I have already made a bunch of cards with it. The paper is all from SU and it's hard to see but I pierced the edge of the patterned paper. The flowers were made from my Cricut machine.
