Skinny Minny!

This stamp set was irresistable from TAC. I just get a kick out of the saying so I had to have it. As usual, all the paper is from SU and the ribbon is from Joannes. The little brad in the corner came from the bargin bin at Archivers. Gotta love the bargin bins!! Anyway, enjoy the card and have a great day!

Gone Shopping!

Once again, another Hanna stamp. I get a kick out of this stamp because it reminds me so much of my daughter and her friends. They are always wanting to go to the mall for that item they just have to have. I stamped her dress on a piece of patterned paper and cut it out and pieced it on. Same goes for the packages. I've been into the greens and purples or blues together lately. It turned out pretty good. We just came back from the movies and I let my daughter drive all the way there and back. It's pretty nerve wrecking letting a teenager drive. My foot is always on the invisible break pedal on the passenger side. I'm sure some of you know what I mean if you've gone through drivers ed with your own kids before. Anyway, tomorrow is hump day so have a great rest of the week and thanks for stopping by!

Life's a Beach

Aren't the Hanna Stamps just so cute?! This card was made for Alex's challenge at California Stampin. The sentiment is a Bella stamp. Doesn't this make you want to go to the beach? I spoke too soon in the last post. Today it is raining, sunny and humid, typical Chicago weather in the summer. Anyway, it's a good excuse to stay in and stamp. Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Fun in the Sun!!

Okay, here is our Stampin Diva's 3rd challenge. This little guy is just too cute. He makes me want to go swimming. The challenge was to use tempting torquoise, yo yo yellow and gable green and I add some only orange with it. The inner tube is popped up but it's hard to tell from the picture. Be sure to stop by the other Divas blogs to see what they come up with . The last few days around here have been just beautiful. The temps have been in the 70's with no humidity. I wish every day could be just like this but that doesn't happen here in the Windy City! Talk about the Windy City, have any of you out of town bloggers been to Chicago? In the summer time it's awesome. There is so much to do downtown Chicago. Our next outing with my kids and their friends is going to be Lincoln Park Zoo. It's free to get in and right on the lake front. Anyway, that's enough about that. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Gone Fishin'

Isn't this little guy cute?! This was the image my stampin' diva group chose to use for our second challenge and I was late in getting it. So here he is. I'm not even sure what company he came from. Stay tuned for our next challenge to be posted next week. The paper is certainly celery, and the other blue and green is from Basic Grey. I tried coloring him in with my copics, I'm still trying to get those markers figured out. the ribbon is from Michaels. So that is it. I'm off to run a bunch of errand and buy more flowers for the yard (one can never have too many flowers).
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

White on White Challenge

So here is the card I made from Deb's challenge over at Stampingranny. White on white is not that easy to do when you don't have too many white embellishments. It really was a challenge.
I think this looks much better in person. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it and thanks for checking in.

Batter's Up!

Since we are in the full swing of baseball I just had to have this stamp. Also, I think these stamps are so cute ( another reason to buy it). All the paper is SU including the yellow. The baseball paper is left over from scrapping pages in Danny's book so I'm not sure where it is from. This season Danny's baseball team will be traveling to Omaha, Nebraska for a huge tournament. The team is so excited about going and so are the parents. Anyway, I was really busy making cards last night so stop back to see what else I came up with. Thanks for checking in.

Smile Crocodile!

Did you ever buy a stamp set just because you like the ONE or two stamps in that set and not the rest? Well, I did just that just for the crocodile and the saying. There are many other stamps included but I'm not too thrilled with them. But, of course I just had to have it! Oh Well!! This card is very plain, sorry about that. I'm hoping to get some stamping in tonight. By the way, boy did I find a bargain today. I went to Michaels to purchase the Cuttlebug with my 50% off coupon and I found a $20 gift card in my purse. So I got it for $20. Woo Hoo!! I'm so excited and cant wait to start using it. Now, I'll have to start collecting more cuttlebug products. Isn't that ashame!! Now, I'm off to get some errands done, visit my mom and then on the the rubbah!!
Thanks for checking in and have a great day!!

AHOY, MATEYS!!

I haven't done much in the line of cards lately so I thought I would post some pages I did this past weekend at a 12 hour scrap at Archivers, mind you , in the middle of tornadoes. Yep, we were in the path of the 6 tornadoes that came through the south side of Chicago. At one point all of us scrappers had to abandon ship and take cover in the washrooms and stock rooms at Archivers. And what were we all worried about, our scrapping supplies and books of course!!
The whole time we were trying to devise a plan on rescuing our books. After about a half hour of hiding we were able to come out and continue. The tornadoes ended up going a little farther south than we were, but the skies were black, the wind was unbelievable and the rain never seemed to end. What an exciting day that was! That is the midwest in June for ya!!
I'm going to try to get back into the cards as soon as I can. My mother was just diagnosed with lung cancer and had surgery today and it went well. Since I'm home for the summer I'll be over helping her out quite a bit, so that is my excuse for lack of cards. I'm still trying to understand this cancer, she never smoked a day in her life. I guesss it really doesn't discriminate. She is the first one in our family as far back as I know who has cancer. So, I just ask that you keep her in your prayers. We all believe in the power of prayer. Thanks for listening to me rattle on and thanks for checking in.

New Baby Paige!

This card was made for my new great neice that was just born. Her name is Paige Michele with a full head of pitch black hair. She looks like she is wearing a wig. It's too funny. She's a keeper, though. Now I have to get on the ball and send this card. Anyway, tomorrow is the last day of school, Woo Hoo! 10:00 can't come soon enough. Then I can scrap and stamp a ton more than I have lately.
So, have a great week and thanks for checking in.
