Family Pictures

Here are some family pictures we took at a graduation party. Everyone was being so silly so I thought it was the perfect time for pictures. Once again, Danny was trying not to smile. That is me with my daughter, Casey and my husband with Danny.

Scrappin the 4th!

I like to scrap pictures of our annual parade and fireworks and then every year I leave sitting out the pictures from the previous year for everyone to see. Some years the pictures are of the same people and sometimes there are new people in the crowd. This day is so much fun at our house. We don't even invite anyone because everyone and their brothers show up anyway.
Fourth of July pages are fun to do.

Thank Ewe

This card was made for a friend who asked me to make her a few thank you cards. Well this is what I came up with. This little guy is so cute! I used SU purely pomegranite and the flower paper is also from SU. The white paper was Cuttlebugged. The little flower stamp was from one of the dollar stamp sets from Michaels and I added a little Bling to the middle of the flower. I may have to make a batch of these to keep on hand. Well, school is out for the weekend. I know it is only Thursday but we always have this Friday off. It's great. 4 days off already, Yipee!! More time to stamp!!

Enjoy!!

New Blogger in Town

There is a new blogger in town. Stop by http://whimsicalthoughts-toni.blogspot.com/ and check out her new blog. She left me a real sweet message so I thought I would plug her site.
I haven't had a chance to stamp since the weekend because of school. Boy, what a week we
had! It has been back in the 90's and our school is overheated. I do have several orders already from fellow teachers. So that is how I will spend my weekend. (Isn't that ashame)!
TA TA for now!!

Lazy Boy 2

Here is another version of the last card I made. I just turned the card sideways and added a ribbon. I pierced the blue paper and colored it in with my prismas. This stamp is so fun I've made several cards today with it. Enjoy!

Lazy Boy

This scene looks so familiar around my house. I cased this card from Julie over at Stamped in His Image. The coloring isn't quite the same but the rest is. The cream paper is Barely Banana from SU and the strips are from my scrap drawer so I'm not sure about it. I colored it in with my prismas and used the CM oval cutter . The saying and the stamped image is from
My Favorite Things. I have a very hard time adhering the brick brack to the paper every time I use it. Any ideas? I used the mini dots but they always seem not to stick for very long.
Well, I'm off to Home Depot for some Gamsol and then lesson plans. Doesn't that sound like fun!
I always tell myself that if I can get my school work done early enough then I can head over to my stamping table . So off I go! (Puff, Puff)!! Have a great week!

Happy Graduation!

Believe it or not I'm still making graduation cards. Yep, this is the last graduation card for 2007. I use the purely pomegranite paper from SU and the diamond paper is also SU. The stamp set is from the graduation set at SU and I found these cute little brads that are for graduation. The ribbon is from M and I know it is sort of big but I want the Congratulations to show. The cap is put on with a 3D Zott so it stands up a little. I know it's hard to tell. This card was for another neice who graduated from 8th grade way back in June.
Well, I've been back in school yesterday and today. I have a wonderful class. The heat has come back. I'm sure it reached 90 degrees or higher in our room. I teach at a catholic school so we have a church attached to our school and it happens to be very close to my classroom. So this afternoon we took a cooling break and held class in the church. The kids got a kick out of it but it sure helped out. Since the weather is supposed to be hot all next week too, we just might never see our classroom and end up in church all week. What a holy bunch of kids I'll have!
Anyway, take care and have a great weekend!!

Time to Shop

I made this card for my niece who was turning
16. It was right up her alley. What 16 year old doesn't like to shop?! The orange paper came from Archivers and the flower paper once again is from my DCWV packet. The flowers are Primas and the purple paper came from my scrap drawer. I used my "fancy" scissors to scallop the purple paper. My bella girlfriend was colored in with prismas. Enjoy and thanks for visiting.

Blog Candy Card / Monkey Business

This card was made for the blog candy challenge over at Stampingranny. I have never made one before and really wasn't going to but Deb left me such a nice comment I thought I better get started on my challenge. Thanks, Deb! It was fun to do , especially working with this monkey.
It has not stopped raining all day so what is a girl to do?! I made a trip to Archivers and purchased this cute monkey set. It is from Stampendous. The paper is also from Archivers and doesn't have a color name. The vine paper came from DCWV packet. I colored Changito in with my prisma pencils and here we have it!! The cutest card and little monkey. I just love it!
Sorry if I am tootin' my own horn but I have seen many cards made with him and he has been on my wish list for quite a while. Anyway, thanks for challenging me, Deb. I will be making more of these cards. Thanks to EVERYONE for leaving such nice comments on my blog!
Have a great and dry night!

Wicked

This is the card I created for the fall swap over at Craftyme . I love making Halloween cards. I traced the shoe pattern from the magazine Paper Crafts last fall. The green paper is from Karen Foster and the polka dots paper is from Reminisce and the orange paper came from Archivers and doesn't have a name on it. I used the SU tag punch and the saying is from a set is from a packet of stamps from Craft Essentials which I bought from JoAnn's. Can you tell that I glittered the star? When I made this card last year it sold like hotcakes at school. I guess I'll have to be making more for this year. This was a fun card to make. I was busy making several cards last night so I'll be posting them real soon.

Finally the weather has broke. I am sitting here with a sweatshirt on and that is great (however it is raining). School starts this week and my room is all ready, I'm not sure I am. But I guess I have no choice. I wish all blogging teachers GOOD LUCK this year and have a great one!!

Ladybug

I'm heading out the door to do some scrapping with my "cult" as my girlfriends call it. But I just wanted to get a card in for the day. This card was made at a stamping class and all products are
made from SU. Sorry the picture is so blurry.
Hopefully I will have a page or two from scrapping tonight to post tomorrow, that's if we don't spend the night gabbing.
Have a great night!!

A Friend

This card is out of my element. I like to do real bright, fun, happy cards. To me this card is sort of boring but it did turn out nice. I used pixie pink and the floral paper is from K&Company
designer pack. I don't know the name of the flower stamp because I took it out of the package a while ago and can't find the package now. I know I bought it at Target and they carry them at Archivers also. The friend stamp is from Stampabilities. The iniside of the card says, knows you and loves you just the same. I'm sure someone will enjoy this card.
Have a happy Thursday!!

Happy Birthday

This is a fairly simple card. I used the silver paper from SU and used mycuttlebug folder on it. The pink is pixie pink. The stamp came from Stampendous. I like how it turned out but do you think it is missing something? A ribbon or flower or anything!

Retail Therapy

As soon as my MFT order came I just had to get busy. This card is for a very good friend of mine. On Friday or Saturday nights we shop together. Usually one of us spends the money while the other one is broke. By shopping I mean, Walmart, Target, Khols or Carsons. Those are our Friday night hangouts. Sounds exciting, doesn't it!! Anyway, I used SU paper, purely
pomegranite and the polka dot paper is from their spring sample pack. The blue paper is from Die Cuts with a View packet and the ribbon is from American Crafts. It is hard to tell but I pierced the blue paper to let some of the white show through. The inside of this card says,
Good Friends are Priceless! It's perfect for her. Enjoy and have a great Tuesday(my last official day off for the summer)!!

Note Cards

I cased this card from one of Kim's at Crafty me. I thought it was so cute! The paper is pixie pink and the sparkle paper is from the Die Cuts with a View packet. I colored her in with my SU pencils. The Just a Note stamp is also from SU. And the flowers are Primas. Several of my friends have asked me for some note cards so I think this will be the one I make for them.
Well, we are still swealtering in the 90's and fairly high humidity out here in the midwest. I know it is August and this happens quite often but we need a break this week because some schools are starting with no air ( like my school)
Oh Well! I'll stop complaining now and start scrapping!
Have a great Sunday!!

Shopping Spree

I've been on a roll the last few days. The orange card looks much more vibrant in person . Also on my way home today I just so happened to drive right passed a Michaels store. Of course I had to go in (it was calling my name). These are all the goodies I HAD to buy. Notice the fish . I told you I don't scrap or stamp with them. I used my 40% off coupons and the stamps were from the dollar bin. So were the ribbons. Gotta love that dollar bin!! This should keep me busy for a few nights!

Dryabella

Another Bella! This one is the dryabella stamp. The blue paper came from Archivers and doesn't have a name for it. The green flower paper is from Die Cuts with a View the Pocket full of Posies Stack (which I love using). The saying is also from Bella and the ribbon is from M. This would be a cute teenager card since it reminds me of my daughter's favorite past time (washing and drying and trying to get her hair perfect) . How come I don't remember me acting that way as a teenager?! Enjoy and stay cool!!

Hello Friend

When I saw this stamp at Archivers of course I just had to have it. It's soooo cute! The paper is SU, only orange and green gable. The diamond paper is from Die Cuts With a View packet. the ribbon is from M and I colored it in with my SU pencils. I used my flower cuttlebug folder on the orange paper.

It's another hot one around here! I just received my new class list and ON NO!! I have 29 first graders, 19 boys and 10 girls. What an interesting year this should be. (Pray for me).

Gone Fishing

This card turned out better than hoped for.
My brother has commented that all the
cards I make are femine. I should make a"manly" card. Well, here is my manlycard.
Since his birthday is coming up can you guess
which card he is getting. The stamp is from
Great Impressions and the fish is from SU ,
the All Wrapped Up set and I used the CTMH
alpabet set for the word outdoors. The fish is
on with a pop up. The rest of the supplies came from my scrap drawer.

Enjoy!

Scrappin' Pictures Finally

I know I mentioned in my profile that I scrapbook also. Well, that is how I got started with stamping. I have been scrapbooking since my daughter was in kindergarten (she is now a sophmore ). She was in a wedding and I took 7 rolls of film and wanted to do something special with the pictures. So that is how I got started scrapping and I haven't stopped. Some of my friends who don't scrap call it my cult. I know, they are just jealous of my books --Te He!
Anyway, a few years ago I was invited to a stamping party and I thought what the heck! I'll
go but I won't get into stamping too. Well, I was WRONG! I am addicted to stamping as well as
scrapping. I tend to go in spurts. For a while I stamp and then I go back to my books.
I have been making a sports book for my son since he was four years old. It's so much fun to look back and see how young he was when he started playing team sports. It is one of our favorite books to look at. Here are a few of my favorite pages I did. The pictures go side by side. More pictures will be posted (my daughter just asked my when her band pictures are going on my blog). I hope you enjoy them!

It's Your Day

I just think this stamp from MFT is sooooo cool! I had to buy it. I used SU paper, lavendar lace and the polka dots paper is also from the SU spring packet. I colored it with my SU pencils and the ribbon is from M.

I think I will have to make several of these cards for my stash for school . I just received my letter from school and YUCK! I have one more week off before I have to go in. This weather had better break, it's way too hot since we have no air conditioning. It is literally like an oven in class. I have been known to take my class into the church with the air on and have class in there. You won't believe how good they are then.
It's kind of nice.
Has everyone checked out the new stamp sets over at MFT? The Let's Hear it for the Boys set is awesome! It sure reminds me of a few guys I know. How about you?!! Of course I had to order it--te he
Well, we're off to the pool! Have a great scorching day!!

Tagged

I've been tagged twice lately. Once by Marlou over at Stampingwithloveand bumper tagged by Deb at Scrappingranny. I'm not good at tagging other people but I'll try and here are a few little useless bits of info on me !!

  1. I can't stamp or scrap without a bowl of sweedish fish handy.
  2. I HATE peas, even the smell of them cooking.
  3. I can't sit through a movie at home (I always fall asleep) .
  4. I am so glad baseball season is over!
  5. I've gotten so addicted to stamping this summer that I am now ordering products on line (Oh No)!
  6. In the seven years I have been at my new school I have gone through 3 different teaching partners. I sure hope it's not my jokes that scare them away!! (they all moved out of town.)
  7. Most of the time I pay for my scrapping and stamping products with cash so my husband doesn't know how much I spend. Come on, I'm sure I'm not the only one who does that!

So, here is some more dirt on me. I hope it doesn't scare anyone away!!

Dog gone cute!

I have been anxious to use my new MFT stamp with the dogs. So here is what I came up with at 11:30 at night. At first I didn't like it until I added the button. The polkadot paper is from
Die Cuts With View winter pack and the rest us from SU.
Well today is 95 degrees and steaming outside. However, 20 years ago it was 102 degrees and
miserable AND my wedding day! Yep! Today is our anniversay and maybe I can get a good dinner out of it! I remember the day we got married, no matter where you were , inside or outside, it was HOT! So I guess today doesn't feel so bad. I'm just not a heat or humidity person. Have a great day!!
